A wonderful place to find out about your Essex ancestors with an on-line
catalogue which has a 'reserve ahead' facility for documents. The site is
user-friendly and there are links to many other sites for researchers.
Plenty of microfiche and film readers as well as computers with access to
Ancestry. The staff are friendly and always willing to help - a great
facility.

Coggeshall Burial Records
Burials 1811 to 1856 in St Peter's churchyard
Burial records for the
'Old Burial Ground' which was opened in 1856. Burials continued here until
1916 when the new cemetery opened, although there were still interments in
family graves up until the 1970s.
1916 - 1965 is still being transcribed.
Nearly 50 years of records so please be patient!
All these records are lodged at the ERO, although these
transcriptions give all details. They are in PDF format and Adobe reader is
required.

Alphabetical Register of Graves in Coggeshall Cemetery
The museum has transcribed the register of graves for
Coggeshall cemetery. This register started in 1916 and is still in use. The
register notes if a memorial is present on the grave. It does not record the
interment of cremated remains in the Garden of Remembrance |
